Nearly all the parishes in Wales have deposited their registers either in the National Library or the local archives.
Details of the dates and locations of the parish registers can be found in "Cofrestri Plwyf Cymru/Parish Registers of Wales" by C.J.Williams a J Watts-Williams.
Some Nonconformists’ records are available in the Library, and details of the location of registers and dates can be found in “Cofrestri Anghydffurfiol Cymru/Nonconformist Registers of Wales” by Dafydd Ifans. More information relating to the Nonconformists’ records is available on the National Library’s website by following this link:

The National Library also has a ‘Capeli’ database, which includes information on Chapel records in Wales. This database is only available internally, on one specific computer in the South Reading Room. To search the database, you should visit the South Reading Room.
