Does the National Library of Wales hold anything relating to Aberystwyth's ship building industry?

There are a number of sources relating to shipbuilding in Aberystwyth, which are available for consultation at the National Library.

Gerald Morgan has written a much about Aberystwyth and it’s shipping. These include three articles, in volumes 15, 16, and 17 respectively, of the periodical ‘Maritime Wales’. He also wrote a booklet ‘North Cardiganshire Shipbuilding 1700-1880’.

Volume 5 ‘Maritime Wales’ also contains an article on the port of Aberystwyth in the 1840s by the late Lewis Lloyd. Volume 3 of ‘Cardiganshire County History’ also has an article on shipbuilding in Ceredigion in general.

An article named 'Aberystwyth's thriving ship industry' by Margot Margot Haywood, is to be found in the book ‘Born on a Perilous Rock’ by W. J. Lewis.

Finally, ‘Aberystwyth Harbour - An Illustrated History’ also deals with many aspects pf shipbuilding in Aberystwyth. This was published by the National Library in 1997, and is also available to purchase at the National Library's shop: http://siop.llgc.org.uk/perl/go.pl/shop/index.html?LANG=cym.
