Do you hold papers for political parties?

The National Library of Wales does hold many sources relating to the main political parties in Wales and these sources include papers, correspondence and minutes amongst other things.

The Library's sources for Plaid Cymru and the Labour Party are the most comprehensive, however there are also collections of papers relating to the Conservative Party, Liberal Democrats and the Green Party.

The Welsh Political Archive was set up in 1983 to co-ordinate the collection of documentary evidence of all kinds about politics in Wales. You may follow the link provided for more information:

The archive itself comprises records and papers of political parties, politicians, quasi-political organisations, campaigns and pressure groups; and includes material such as leaflets, pamphlets, ephemera, posters, photographs, and tapes of radio and television programmes.

You may also gain access to papers of some politicians, including David Lloyd George, T E Ellis, J Herbert Lewis, Samuel T Evans and many more.
